  4. Jenni- My thoughts and comments...First of all I talked to Dad/Grandpa about all of this just so he would not be surprised and baffled by why all the calls and attention now. He seemed pleased that we would do this, but also has a few things say about the cleaning and dusting.

I would like to just pick a couple of days a week for the dinners. I can do say Monday and Thursday if that is OK with everyone. If not, just let me know what days would be better. This way I can plan. I can do tonight as I was going to see him anyway today. NOt sure what the meal will be.

I will post seperate comments on some of the chores.

  5. From Jenni- Dad/Grandpa said if we dust that whatever is picked up needs to be placed right back where it was, no re-arranging allowed (his words, not mine).

Also, you cannot just change his sheets. Since he has the new bed, you can only use their sheets and he has one set. He usually washes them on the weekend and did this on Saturday. So for now, he says he can take care of this himself.

To add an item to the list, he wants to go through his closets and get rid of the bigger stuff. There is two boxes in the TV room where he started this, maybe some help in getting it all done and taken to Good Will or where ever.

He has a large 4 drawer filing cabinet in the laundry room but has an adversion to using it. I did go through all the mail/papers I could find and sorted it out, got rid of the trash pieces/envelopes, etc. I did not file anything yet as the file cabinet needs a little work and this will be another days task. Papers are sorted and stacked on table, waiting his approval for filing or trashing.

  6. I already made him dinner for Monday (I took it over Sunday, but he had already eaten since he was going out for the game). So he has dinner for Monday night now. I'll have to wait until I get home to add Aunt Jenni to all Mondays and Thursdays, please state what you are gonna make each time so that I don't make the same thing for Tuesday for example.

I know that some of these chores gpa has to do himself (or help us do), like helping to sort those papers. But it'll take encouragement from us for him to get the place a little neater so that it can be cleaned more properly.

  7. Hey, we may stop over Sunday before going to Mike & Sharon's. He needs an outside light fixed and I offered to help with anything he may need done. He said he doesn't, but we may clean a little bit anyways. I will let him know tomorrow if/when we are going to be there. Also, then we could bring him over to Mike & Sharon's.

  8. Even tho he was tired from the busy weekend he seemed to have a good time for his 75th. I think if we just encourage him a bit more that he will eat. Tonight Michael just took him dessert and he ate all of it. If we had asked him he would have said he didn't want anything. Let's try to keep up the team work!

  9. Got the ice knocked off the gutters yesterday and fixed the outside light that was out. I also cleaned the bathroom minus the tub and sweeping the floors.
